Our Ranch

Our Martin Ranch Reserve is a family-run cattle ranch in Central California with a legacy of care spanning generations. Rooted in generations of cattle ranchers who also farmed and were dairymen, our family has perfected its craft through time, discipline, and respect for the land. Guided by a legacy of hard work, exceptional animal care, and enduring tradition, the owner has faithfully carried these values forward.

Today, that same commitment lives on through his co-owner and daughter, ensuring that our heritage remains strong for generations to come. Our closed Black Angus herd is finished on our own land, with every calf born and finished under our careful eye.

We take pride in growing our own forages that are used in raising and finishing our cattle. We refuse to use hormones or outside animals, and most importantly, keeping our product small-batch. With deep agricultural roots, a PhD-led nutrition program, and a devotion to animal welfare alongside sustainable practices, we’re redefining how premium beef can look and taste, from the soil up.

     It is true human or cattle, you ARE what you eat. Our cattle are certified natural- this means that we do not administer any antimicrobials (Antibiotics, Antivirals, Antiprotozoals), growth hormones, or animal by-products of any means, ever.

  • Hormone Free

    We’re proud to raise our cattle without the use of growth hormones or hormone additives of any kind—ever. From start to finish, our animals are never given hormones through feed or injections, because we believe great beef starts with natural, responsible care on the farm.

  • Closed-Herd

    Since 1995, we’ve proudly maintained a closed herd, meaning we raise our cattle without bringing in outside steers, cows, calves, or heifers. By carefully selecting bulls with certain genetics, such as excellent marbling, ribeye development, and natural tenderness, we curate the perfect product for you and your family.
